There are several ways to come to Saranda, Albania.

All major airlines fly to Tirana which is the capital of Albania and from there you can take a public transport or hire a car to travel the nearly 300 km distance. A new road is currently being built to be completed within 2 years which will allow to do this trip in 3 hours.

The most convenient way to get to Saranda from UK is to fly to the Greek Island of Corfu and from there take a ferry to Saranda which runs twice a day in both directions. The Port of Corfu is very close to the main Airport which makes the transfer quick and easy.

There is a choice of 2 ferry boats:

"The Delfin" – which is a fast cruiser (passengers only) takes the distance between Corfu - Saranda for 40 min.

"Kasiopi" is a standard ferry which also transports vehicles (up to 4-6 cars) with seating under and on deck. As most of the days are beautiful; and sunny seating on deck allows passengers to enjoy the beautiful coast line of Corfu and Southern coast of Albania. Trip with “Kasiopi”is slightly longer and takes approximately 1.5 hours.

Round trip with both ferries costs around £20

Please remember to bring your Passport or EU Identity cards as you have to go thropugh Customs on both sides which takes only few minutes and is mostly a routine procedure.

It is very common that tourists make trips from Corfu to Saranda and Saranda to Corfu for the day for change of scenery and culture.
